The garden of our spirits is always a work in progress. It’s seasonal, with times of fruitfulness and fallow, rain and drought, bounty and lack. How we tend our souls is both personal and corporate. Together, we can produce a faithful harvest. Each week this summer will be a conversation with someone about one of the biblical “fruits of the Spirit” as we learn more about each other and how to walk together in faith. Join us for engaging worship, deepening relationships and learning more about ourselves.
Join us as we wrap up our Garden of Our Spirits theme on September 8th with FAITHFULNESS.

Why Doctors Without Borders? The Witness Team met earlier this year to consider our best options for sending aid to support those harmed in the continuing Israeli/Palestinian conflict. But as we thought about it, we remembered Ukraine. And Sudan. And Yemen. Myanmar/Burma. The list goes on. As the conversation continued, we realized that, with so many people in harm's way around the globe, limiting our support of justice to only one conflict might not make the impact that FBC Pottstown seeks to make for the Realm of God. Globally, DWB operates in over 70 nations on every continent. At any one time, 100 armed conflicts occur, and DWB is ready to mobilize and supply emergency medical aid worldwide. They are on the front line of the malnutrition crisis that affects the children of Gaza, Yemen, and other places where famine looms large. They provide medical care to civilians caught in the line of fire, saving lives in unimaginably harsh conditions. Their care is open to people of all faiths, languages, nationalities, and immigration statuses. They are impartial in deciding who to assist. In 2023, they provided emergency care to nearly 2 million people. They administered over 3 million vaccines in response to a measles outbreak. They delivered over 16 million medical consultations and rescued four thousand at sea. Their work is far-reaching, serving those at the most risk due to conflict and climate change. A summary report of their 2023 activities is available: https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/sites/default/files/documents/international-activity-report-2023.pdf More than 87 percent of donations to DWB go directly to service. DWB uses around 12 percent to continue fundraising to meet its essential service goals, with only 1 percent supporting administration. Several charity watchdog groups have rated DWB a top-rated charity. The Witness Team strongly believes that this organization represents the goals and visions of FBC for serving our world well, and we encourage you to give generously.
